R. Michael Mohan
Mike Mohan joined the Bloomin’ Brands Board in October of 2017 and was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors in August of 2023. Mr. Mohan is currently a member of the Compensation Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Operating Committee.
A seasoned executive with expertise in consumer and retail, sales, merchandising, marketing and supply chain management and business development, Mr. Mohan most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Best Buy Co., a leading provider of technology products and services, from 2019 to 2021. He joined the company in 2004 and served in a variety of roles including Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer, Senior Vice President and President of the Home Business Group, and Senior Vice President of Merchandising. His extensive experience includes launching partnerships with leading consumer brands to create the within-store Magnolia and Pacific Kitchen & Home concepts, leading the evolution of Best Buy’s private-label, fitness devices and connected home products and overseeing the Company’s real estate footprint and talent development plans.
Before joining Best Buy Co., Mr. Mohan was Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Good Guys, an audio-video specialty retailer that operated 79 stores in the western United States. He also previously served in various positions at Future Shop, a Canadian electronic store chain, from 1988 through 1997.
Mr. Mohan joined the Board of Directors of Petco Health and Wellness Company, Inc., a retailer and provider of holistic pet health and wellness offerings, in March 2021 and served as its Lead Independent Director and a member of its Audit Committee. In March 2024 he was appointed to serve as Petco's Interim Chief Executive Officer and stepped down from Petco's Audit Committee and his Lead Independent Director role. He is also a Board Member of Vizio Holding Corp. since February 2023.
Mr. Mohan attended the University of Calgary and studied Engineering and Commerce
